I have been wanting a donut pan for roughly 8 months. I’ve spent countless days walking around Crate & Barrel with a donut pan in hand, only to put it back when I realize that I DO NOT NEED one more kitchen gadget. So when my bestie Fina sent me a link about making donuts that doesn’t involve a pan, I cried tears of joy.
This recipe is a game changer. Both for my arteries and donut-eating career. It is SOOO easy and you only need two ingredients: a roll of premade biscuit dough and oil. I accidentally bought dinner roll dough instead, but you really can’t go wrong when deep-frying and covering with glaze. A simple truth of life.
Here’s what you do!
Cut out holes in your biscuits and allow to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile, heat your oil (I used about 2 cups in a large pan) over medium heat.
Then, fry away! These guys fry up fast, so don’t walk away.
And pick your glazes (recipes below).
Can you guess what this one is??
A hint…
