Last weekend Mike and I headed up to Marblehead with his aunt and uncle for a day of wandering, eating seafood, and some serious history. Though the forecast predicted rain, the weather ended up being gorgeous so I took the opportunity to find and photograph every combination of foliage and historic New England scenery. Marblehead is such a charming little town, full of old homes (all the houses have plaques from the year they were built – most were from the 1700 and 1800s!) and adorable shops, including a cutie patootie candy shop with pumpkin cake pops (!!!). It was a perfect New England fall day!
Awesome! Fall is my favorite season and you captured it so wonderfully.
Soo lovely! My mother lived in Marblehead for ten years when she was young, and I can’t believe I still haven’t taken the time to make a trip there! It looks beautiful, and I’m seriously in love with that line of mailboxes…
I can’t believe you haven’t been, either! Marblehead seems right up your alley!! Put it on your calendar, NOW!!
That’s so pretty! And I think I recognize your sweater from a crazy music video I saw on Saturday…
So much fall. I’m obsessed
I’ve heard Marblehead is gorgeous–these photos do not disappoint!
Thank You Melanie! Candy Pop Sweet Shoppe is the cutie patootie candy shop in Old Town Marblehead. 🙂
